    Comparative Study on Explicit Formula of Colebrook-White Equation

    Abstract: Friction coefficient estimation is a key part of gas pipeline system design and Colebrook -White equation is a typical method for computing turbulent flow friction coefficient of rough pipeline. Investigated is new progress of Colebrook -White equation, the noniterative hydraulic friction coefficient formula, compared are calculation accuracy and computation time of several noniterative approximation equations, introduced is the accurate and convenient noniterative Colebrook-White equation and useful friction coefficient calculation formula is recommended for gas pipeline engineering design.
