    Study on Hydraulic Characteristics of Fall Sections of Product Oil Pipeline

    Abstract：Gas resistance phenomenon often occurs in fall sections of product oil pipeline during operation， which has much influence on pipeline operation and management. Established are gas/liquid two-phase flow model， pressure gradient calculation model and liquid holdup calculation model for these fall sections and prepared are relative computer programs. Numerical simulation is carried out according to data obtained from the field where air resistance often occurs in fall sections of product oil pipeline during operation and corresponding results are obtained accordingly， which provide theoretical basis for air resistance prevention and practical recommendations are put forward.
