    LO-CAT Sulfur Recovery Technology and its Application Prospect

    Abstract: Total sulfur recovery increase and SO2 emissions and atmospheric pollution decrease are focal points in sulfur recovery and processing technology. LO-CAT Process is a new environment-friendly sulfur recovery technology developed by American ARI Technology Development Company and complexation iron liquid catalytic oxidation sulfur recovery method is adopted in this technology to ensure proper operation of sulfur recovery unit, less equipment investment costs, higher purification efficiency and lower energy consumption. This technology has been widely used in sulfur recovery and tail gas treatment process of natural gas, coal gas and syngas, refinery gas, carbon dioxide gas, acid wastewater discharge gas, processing industrial emissions, etc. and its sulfur removal rate of H2S can exceed 99.9% and it has very strong cost advantage and operability. Introduced are basic principle, process flow, technical characteristics and engineering example of LO-CAT sulfur recovery process and its application prospect in China.
