    Study on Continuous Operation of Western Low Flow Rate Crude Oil Pipeline

    Abstract:In order to settle the issue of crude oil shortage in winters and reduce transportation stop frequency and time during intermittent oil transportation,it is essential to study the feasibility of continuous running at low flow rate for Shanshan?鄄Lanzhou trunk line of the west crude oil pipeline. Continuous running test has been conducted on the Shanshan?鄄Lanzhou trunk line in working conditions of low flow rates of 900m3/h,850m3/h and 800m3/h and obtained are all parameters from various stations and oil transfer pumps in the whole pipeline during continuous running in working conditions of low flow rates through SCADA system in Beijing Oil & Gas Control Center. Test data analysis results show that short?鄄term continuous running in working conditions of low flow rate is feasible for the west crude oil pipeline and the continuous running test provides guarantee for safe and proper operation of the west crude oil pipeline in winter.
