Abstract:In gas reservoir development, fluids will accumulate in gas well bottom and liquid loading will form in the bottom if such fluids do not be promptly discharged, which will result in water logging and production halts. Therefore,it is important to predict liquid loading in gas well. At present,Turner equation is mainly used for calculation of critical liquid carrying flow rate at site and certain limitation exists in this calculation. In the actual production field, production conditions of each well are different,in calculation of gas well critical liquid carrying flow rate, the domain fitting correlations of drag coefficient CD shall be combined firstly to calculate drag coefficient of liquid drop and mechanical analysis method same as Turner liquid drop model is adopted to obtain calculation formula for critical liquid carrying flow rates in different production gas wells. Actual calculation and analysis results show that critical liquid carrying flow rates predicted in different production gas wells are consistent with those recorded in actual production.
