    Optimization Design of New High Efficiency Hydrocyclone Slug Flow Trap

    Abstract:With continuous development of batch transportation process,slug flow traps are applied more and more. The existing slug flow traps have small gravity separation space and poor separation effect,which will affect operation of downstream units. In order to overcome such technical disadvantages of the existing slug flow traps,analyzed are structures of the slug flow traps,put forward is an optimization design scheme for a new type of high efficient hydrocyclone slug flow trap,including the combination of stage I tangent inclined hydrocyclone separation section,tube type liquid phase storage buffer separation section and stage II gravity separation section. Such high efficient hydrocyclone slug flow trap can effectively separate and trap slug flow and operate smoothly,which has relived the effects of slug flow in batch transportation pipeline on production and ensured safe production and operation.
