    Researches on DN1 400 Pipe Manufacture

    Abstract：Diameter of the export pipeline in South Yolotan Gas Field development project of Turkmenistan is Φ1420mm. Because DN 1 400 pipeline is put into service in China for the first time and there is no corresponding application experience for reference， the engineering design party has established an expert team for special research. A lot of information has been collected， technical exchange has been carried out， capacity and technical level are analyzed and researched in steel pipe manufacturers at home and abroad and such conclusion is obtained for manufacture of Φ 1 420mm pipe steel as that grain degree shall be No. 10 grade or less and banding texture shall not be more than grade 3 if adopted is X70 pipe steel with acicular ferrite as main component. Steel pipe manufacturers in China have enough technical capacity and production equipment for manufacturing X70 Φ 1 420mm steel pipe and technical specifications for steel pipes prepared according to the above technical requirements have been approved in writing by the Owner in Turkmenistan.
