    Analysis on Corrosion Environment in Sour Gas Field and Selection of Materials

    Abstract：Analyzed are corrosion environment and types in current sour gas fields， introduced are corrosion characteristics in sour gas fields， put forward are principles and standards followed for selecting carbon steel and low alloy steel materials used in sour gas environment， proposed are measures for quality control on carbon steel and low alloy steel materials in such environment， introduced are chemical components of steel materials for pressure vessels at home and abroad and analyzed are hydrogen induced cracking and sulfide stress corrosion cracking resistance performances of these steel materials. Combined with application experience of carbon steel and low alloy steel materials in sour gas fields at home and abroad， proposed are hydrogen induced cracking and sulfide stress corrosion cracking resistance performance requirements and put forward are some suggestions on research direction and trend of carbon steel and low alloy steel materials used in sour gas environment in China.
