Abstract:In regions where formation water sanility change is great, formation electrical characteristics are easily affected by formation water and different salinities of formation water will result in very complicated variation of apparent formation resistivity and ambiguous evidence of petroliferous reservoir, which will lead to great difficulties for oil and water layer identification and it is easy to loss oil layers with low resistivity. Researched are formation water change rule and its causes of Es3 section in Xianhezhuang structure, analyzed is the horizontal change tendency in oil and water layer on the basis of single well interpretation and results show that regions with higher formation water sanility in Es3 section of Xianhezhuang structure are favorable places generally for oil and gas accumulation. Therefore, variation characteristics of formation water are able to reflect oil and gas accumulation and conservation.
