Abstract: Full containment LNG tanks are widely adopted in domestic LNG receiving terminals. LNG tanks are used for storing cryogenic fluids and their temperature field distribution has great effect on tank structure design due to their large inside and outside temperature differences and complicated structures. Taken is the full containment LNG tank in certain domestic LNG receiving terminal for an example, analyzed are the structures of tank bottom, wall and top and heat transfer process, established is the calculation model for temperature distribution in its each part, ANSYS software is adopted to calculate its temperature distribution and analyzed are calculation results. Such suggestion is resulted from calculations and analysis that thermal stress influence of contact surfaces between tank insulation layer and inner tank body shall be considered in tank structure design and optimization of tank bottom structure can effectively reduce the tank bottom heat leakage.
