    Method for Service Life Evaluation of Internal Coating of In-service Pipeline Based on Fuzzy Theory

    Abstract: Because pipeline internal coating can not be inspected directly, it is particularly important to carry out dependability assessment and service life evaluation on internal coating of pipeline in service. In order to evaluate service life of internal coating of pipeline in service scientifically and rationally, established is a model for service life evaluation based on fuzzy theory. In the model, applied is the fuzzy transformation to transform the fuzzy evaluation of stratified index into general fuzzy evaluation and final scores can be obtained in combination with a set of comments. Described are model structure and specific procedures of this system. Combined are practical conditions of internal coating in a certain gas pipeline to determine 4 class 1 indexes and 24 class 2 indexes, which are applied in service life evaluation on internal coating of pipeline in service for 5 years and the application results show that it is feasible.
