    Evaluation on Calculation Formulas for Water Content in Natural Gas

    Abstract： Water content is one of significant physicochemical indexes of temperament parameters of natural gas transported by pipeline and accuracy of its calculated values will directly affect the accuracy of process calculations in natural gas exploitation， gathering and transportation. Summarized and analyzed are principal correlation formulas used for natural gas water content at home and abroad. Based on practical data in some publications， six kinds of statistical indexes and one relative performance coefficient are applied to conduct overall evaluation based on error analysis， selected are such correlation formulas with relative higher calculation accuracy as Bahadori and Bukacek-Saul-Wagner， etc. and it is suggested that Bahadori is applied to calculate water content of natural gas with lower acid gas content in undefined gas composition conditions.
