Abstract: Capacity modelLow permeability reservoirs have such characteristics as start-up pressure gradient, non-Darcy seepage and stress sensitivity and their production capacity is quite different from that of conventional medium and high permeability reservoirs. Established is a mathematical model considering non-Darcy seepage, start-up pressure gradient and stress sensitivity according to the characteristics of low permeability reservoirs, obtained is a formula for calculating production capacity of low permeability reservoirs and analyzed are effects of different factors. Analysis results show that the production capacity of low permeability reservoirs is obvious different from that of traditional Darcy seepage and start-up seepage pressure model. In same pressure difference condition, Darcy model has high capacity, non-Darcy seepage model has low capacity and quasi start-up pressure model has lower capacity. Stress sensitivity is a negative factor and the greater the pressure difference, the greater the effect. Therefore, non-Darcy seepage characteristics and reservoir stress sensitivity shall be considered in actual assessment on production capacity of low permeability reservoir development.
