    Abstract： Work shift apartment in an operation area is a place where oil workers live， study and have rest. In recent years， with continuous development of oil and natural gas industry， design of work shift apartment is becoming more scientific， standardized and humanized. Introduced are geographical positions， scale and function of the work shift apartment in Longgang Gas Field and described are design ideas of the apartment form such angles as graphic design， various functions of rooms in each floor， energy conservation， environmental protection， comfort and livability. Brand new design of the work shift apartment in Longgang Gas Field can reflect the development of the changes with each passing day in oil and natural gas industry.
