Abstract: In order to validate the effect of regional cathodic protection scheme for gas stations and find potential problems, installed and test is a set of deep well anode + shallow-buried ground bed cathodic protection system in a gas station, analyzed are effects of the anode ground bed position and grounding system on pipe-to-soil potential distribution and electrical interference of main pipeline and test results show that deep well anode ground bed tends to put the protected object into whole polarization, polarization effect in station edge is obvious, polarization effect in station center area is poor due to concentration of pipelines and grounding system, where shallow-buried anode should be applied for local supplement. Deep well anode shall be installed away from main pipeline as far as possible and close to the protected object properly. If appropriate, it is feasible to utilize part of current diffusing from deep well anode to protect main pipeline.
