Abstract: For a long time,long-distance pipelines located in high steep slopes are designed according to historical experience and there is lack of scientific means for determining whether such designs are reasonable,it is necessary to conduct analysis on stress in long-distance pipelines located in high steep slopes so as to accurately judge whether pipeline stress meets relative requirements in codes, specifications and standards. Because pipeline sections in high steep slopes are located in special terrain, stress analysis software shall be adopted to conduct their stress analysis in installation, test and operating conditions and special conditions to determine the conformity with relative standards and specifications and check whether their constrained points meet the requirements of actual construction. Stress analysis of pipelines can also determine the reasonability and efficiency of anchorage points artificially added in long-distance pipeline design. Therefore, analysis on stress in long-distance pipelines located in high steep slopes is an effective measure to determine whether such design is reasonable.
