Abstract: In order to understand effects of liquid accumulation in pipeline on elbows and supports particularly,a physical model is established to make a detailed analysis on movement process of liquid accumulated in pipeline. Applied is the relativity principle between momentum theorem and fluid mechanics to derivate the mathematic relation between bend stress, physical parameters of process medium and flow velocity and obtained is the function curve between impact load and flow velocity, described are the effects of liquid accumulation through engineering calculation of examples and proposed are some suggestions for reducing liquid accumulation hazards, which will provide basic theory reference for pipeline liquid impact prevention design.
