    Review on Natural Gas Desulfuration and Decarbonization Technologies

    Abstract:In order to satisfy more and more strict requirements in environment protection laws and regulations and adapt to oil resource exhaustion trend,the ratio of natural gas in energy structure increases gradually and natural gas purification technologies have been developed significantly. Introduced are natural gas desulfurization and decarbonization technologies used frequently at home and abroad: chemical solvent method,including conventional amine method and selective amine method,physical solvent method,chemical-physical solvent method,direct conversion method and other methods. Analyzed are applicable scopes of different methods and compared are their advantages and disadvantages. In general,MDEA is used very widely due to its universality and low energy consumption. Predicted is the development tendency in natural gas purification technologies according to requirements in environmental protection and it is believed that the physical method will become the first choice of process developers.
