Abstract:Past researches focus on occurrence and reasons of storage tank incidents, difficult to eliminate such incidents from the source. Introduced is the current situation of domestic standards followed in storage tank cleaning and it is proposed to use advanced terms in international standards for reference to improve domestic standards. Introduced is the standard NFPA 326-2010, listed are key technological differences of the standard with domestic standards. The advanced nature of the standard is reflected in safety inspection before storage tank cleaning, tank dielectric isolation measures, storage tank gas detection and allowable operation level identification, etc. Finally, put forward is the idea of “Comprehensive Standardization” and it is proposed to use NFPA 326-326 for reference to perfect domestic standards for tank cleaning.
