Abstract:Corrosion and leak of traditional buried metal oil tanks at fuel filling station will seriously pollute underground water and surrounding soil. In order to prevent or reduce such pollution, Europe and the United States and other western developed countries have already used different types of double-wall oil storage tanks and have made laws and regulations to be executed compulsorily. Relative standards have been established and concrete requirements have been specified for structural types, material selection, strength test and annular clearance leakage detection of double-wall oil storage tanks. Conducted is analysis on basic principle of foreign double-wall oil tanks and two different leakage test methods, compared are characteristics of several main double-wall tanks, analyzed is the development status of double-wall tanks at home and abroad, listed are problems existing in double-wall tank development in China and some suggestions are proposed for domestic double-wall tank development.
