Abstract:Coal-fired power plant in operation may discharge a large of CO2 into the air and pollute the environment severely. Selection of reasonable  CO2 capture technologies is main way of decreasing  CO2 discharge. Capture technologies includes physical absorption, chemical absorption, physical-chemical absorption, membrane technology and biotechnology. Among these technologies, physical absorption and chemical absorption are principal methods for capturing CO2 discharged from coal-fired power plant. According to the characteristics of flue gas, physical MDEA method and chemical NHD method are selected for captureing  CO2, adopted is the software Aspen Plus to simulate  CO2 separation process and conducted is contrastive analysis on technological processes of the two methods, their different CO2 absorption efficiencies, process energy consumptions and absorbent flows and it is decided that MDEA method is selected for decarburization according to exhaust temperament conditions of coal-fired power plant.
