Gas vent pipeline system is an indispensable part of pipeline maintenance and expansion project. However, venting the qualified gas to the air will cause enormous waste of resources and also cause environmental pollution. It's necessary to consider installation of corresponding gas recovery unit in gas pipeline design. Conducted is comparative analysis on various settings of gas vent pipeline systems at home and abroad and proposed are good practices in gas recovery and utilization, which will provide valuable reference for personnel engaged in pipeline design and management.
