    Application of Low Concentration Hydroxypropylguar Gum Fracturing Fluid in Sulige Gas Field

    Abstract:


    According to the need of stimulating low porosity and low permeability reservoir, a new low concentration hydroxypropylguar gelled fracturing fluid system was developed by optimizing types and concentrations of guar gum, cross-linker and other agents in fracturing fluid system and conducted is contrastive analysis on conventional hydroxypropylguar gelled fracturing fluid with the new one. Analysis results show that residue content of this new fracturing fluid was only 290 mg/L, less than 2/3 of residue content in conventional fracturing fluids. The fracturing fluid has high thickening efficiency and good sand-carrying performance. By the end of 2012, the fracturing fluid has been successfully applied to 3 vertical wells and 1 horizontal well in Sulige Gas Field. Practical application results show that the new fracturing fluid has obvious yield-increasing effect.
