Key Words:Gas storage; High and low pressure vent system; Vent amount; Safety valve
    Abstract:

The vent system of underground gas storage is composed of vent pipe and flare, and the key element of determining the vent system is the vent amount. The discharge amount of vent system is not the maximum processing capacity of gathering and injection station, different discharge amounts shall be analyzed and calculated in various operating conditions and the probability of various conditions occurring simultaneously shall be calculated. The gathering and injection station in Qinhuangdao-Shenyang gas pipeline storage project will vent gas in case of accident so as to meet the vent requirement of gathering and injection pipelines and two-way gas pipelines. Conducted is comprehensive analysis on plane layout, process system division and equipment selection of gathering and injection station and determined are one set of high pressure vent system and one set of low pressure vent system so that these vent facilities can be utilized fully and effectively. This project is the first one in which such design scheme is applied firstly in China and the design scheme has been used for reference in other similar gas storage engineering designs.
