Study on Earthquake Proof of Buried Oil and Gas Pipelines in Geological Crossing Faults
Author of the article:Zhang Shaochun, Fan Feng, Feng Xiaohong

Key Words:Crossing fault; Buried oil and gas pipeline; Fault movement; Research progress; Seismic measures
    Abstract:

Earthquake damage of buried oil and gas pipelines often happens in active faults. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze fault movement reactions of buried pipelines to avoid or mitigate such damage. Reviewed are such methods as theoretical analysis method, numerical analysis method and test method used at home and abroad in recent years for analysis on fault movement reactions, compared are advantages and disadvantages among different methods and stated briefly are some problems existing in current analysis methods. Finally analyzed are earthquake resistant measures commonly used at present in new-built and existing oil and gas pipelines and forecasted are future research trends of buried oil and gas pipelines in geological crossing faults.
