Abstract:Sulfur deposition is always an important and difficult problem in development process of gas reservoirs with high H2S content. Most of past researches were focused on gas reservoir formation and bore holes, and elemental sulphur deposition in natural gas gathering system has been paid attention to gradually in recent years. Investigation on sulphur deposition of large-scale space focused on sulfur deposition in pipelines has encountered such bottleneck problem as unclear mechanism of sulfur deposition. Therefore, current physical and chemical methods are used to prevent and control the sulfur deposition, which are unable to effectively solve gathering and transportation system sulphur deposition problem existing in wet gas gathering and transmission conditions. Summarized is the research status of sulfur deposition in gathering and transportation systems, analyzed are characteristics of equivalent thickness sulfur deposition layer new discovered in high sour gas field gathering and transportation system and put forward is the development direction of future research.
