    Assessment on Reliability of Long-distance Corroded Pipeline with Two Algorithms

    Abstract:At present, there is less computer language program application using in long-distance corroded pipeline reliability assessment with JC algorithm and MC algorithm (Monte Carlo algorithm), it is complicated to do manual calculations with JC algorithm because of multiple iterations and MC algorithm cannot be achieved by hand calculation. Based on basic principles of reliability analysis of JC algorithm and the MC algorithm, MATLAB software is used to calculate the reliability and compare and analyze advantages and disadvantages of the two algorithms and it is shown that the results are in good agreement. The computer language is applied in reliability assessment of long-distance pipeline, can replace tedious hand calculation and improve efficiency and accuracy of reliability calculation.
