    Abstract:

Gas-water producing wells in Northeast Sichuan Gas Field are at a high potential risk in safety and environmental protection due to large amount of sewage entrained with plenty of gas and very stenchy well station. Aiming at the above-mentioned problems, a series of improvement measures have been taken one after the other. Through improvements and trial stimulation operation in Lei 13 and 14, Qili 25 and 25-X1 well stations in recent years, gas and water leakage has been remarkably reduced, operation environment has been significantly improved and well maintenance cost has been cut down by ¥0.2 million (RMB) annually. In addition, the harmful gas pervaded previously at a low-altitude has disappeared at present, staff health and safety have been greatly improved. Residents nearby the well stations also say that there is almost no stench anymore. Success in stench control for gas-water producing wells has provided a reference and technical support for similar ground gathering system design.
