    Analysis on Architectural Design Elements of Transformer Room

    Abstract：Analyzed are advantages and disadvantages of different transformers and described are selection of transformer types and transformer room locations. According to current national standards and specifications for transformer room design, analyzed are design considerations in architectural design of transformer room, introduced are relative requirements and stipulations for fire risk classification of transformer room, its fire resistance rating, fire separation, oil storing and retaining facility, fire extinguishing installation, automatic fire alarm and ventilation, and given are some specific practices, which will provide valuable reference for engineering design of new and reconstructed transformer rooms.
