    Abstract:

The gas pipeline from Hongshanzui Oilfield injection and production joint station to thin oil treatment station in oil recovery factory 1 (Hong-Ke Gas Pipeline for short) transports watery crude oil from thin oil well area in Hongshanzui Oilfield to thin oil treatment station in oil recovery factory 1 for treatment. Crude oil produced water from Hongshanzui Oilfield has high mineralization and high scale formation ion content, and scaling trend is obvious after being mixed. Due to insufficient understanding of scaling phenomenon after the pipeline was put into operation, the first pigging was conducted after the pipeline operated for 8 months, serious pipeline scaling resulted in pigging ball blockage, which seriously affected normal operation of the pipeline. It is necessary to conduct test analysis on scaling characteristics of the pipeline and obtain its scaling velocity, critical temperature and sedimentation coefficient so as to provide basis for determining normal transportation temperature of the pipeline in order to reduce amount of pipeline scale and energy consumption and ensure safe operation of Hong-Ke pipeline.
