Abstract:In order to meet the needs of industrial and daily application, raw natural gas must be purified. Organic sulfur is a kind of impurities difficult to be removed from natural gas and it will not only corrode equipment and pipelines in exploitation, processing, storage and transportation process, but also result in environmental pollution and endanger person 's health when used as fuel. In recent years, the international communities have increasingly strict requirements for organic sulfur content in commercial gas, close attention is paid to the research and development of solvent method removal of organic sulfur in natural gas. Introduced are organic sulfur removal methods commonly used at present and their mechanisms, analyzed are advantages and disadvantages of physical, chemical and mixed solvent desulfurization methods respectively and finally predicted is the development trend of organic sulfur removal technology in the future.
