Key Words:Desulfurization and decarbonization: Organic sulfur; Simulation; MDEA; Energy consumption
    Abstract:

In order to reduce energy consumption and  improve sulfur recoverγ quality, adopted  is mixture of sulfolane, MDEA, DIPA and water as desulfurization and decarbonization solvent and optimized are solvent ratios by process simulation. By establishing process model with HYSYS, firstly determined is the content of sulfolane in the solvent and secondly optimized are ratios of MDEA, DlPA and water. Research results show that when the mass fraction of sulfolane reaches 36%, organic sulfur can be removed effectively. The mass ratios of optimized solvent is: sulfolane:MDEA:DlPA:water = 36:36:0:28. Purified gas which is produced with these optimized ratios can be qualified as the second class gas by GB  17820-2012 Natural Gas. Moreover, application of optimized ratios can reduce energy consumption and improve sulfur recovery quality and economic benefit.
