Abstract:Foam drainage has been widely used in water production well gas recovery due to its easy operation and low cost. However, a great deal of foam in discharging liquid will seriously affect the gas-liquid separation and dehydration effects. Therefore, it is particularly critical to remove foams in the produced liquid. Traditional liquid defoaming processes have such disadvantages as hard to control the amount of defoaming agent, poor defoaming effect, high operation cost and unstable performance in the winter. In recent years, solid defoaming rods and defoaming agent injection device matched with such rods have been developed in China and above shortcomings have been covered effectively. Conducted are researches on mechanism and development status of the solid defoaming agent and analysis on present situation and the common operation problems of this technology and proposed are some applicable suggestions, which will be beneficial to more widely application of the foam drainage gas recovery.
