    Abstract：As natural gas utilization becomes increasingly popular and modern automation develops sustainably, shortcomings of traditional gas meters in the safety and service efficiency become more and more obvious, which is not conducive to efficient automation management of gas companies, it is necessary to conduct intelligent transformation  on traditional gas meters.  Used are STM 32 microprocessors and wireless network technology to treat data from traditional gas meters and transfer these treated data to monitoring centers of gas companies so as to realize gas meter real-time signal detection, gas safety valve control, remote wireless meter reading billing, sound and light alarm, HMI display and other functions, improve remote real-time monitoring and management of gas companies and the safe use of user data and achieve a smart gas meter informatization and automation.
