    Discussion on Grounding Performance Improvement Method in Desert Area

    Abstract：Electrical equipment grounding is the most important technical measure of electrical safety technology, it is directly related to equipment and personal safety. Grounding can be divided into working grounding, protective grounding, lightning protection grounding, anti-static grounding and correct selection of grounding method and reasonable installation are very important. A good grounding system in inflammable and explosive places can effectively reduce the possibility of fire and explosion occurrence and ensure safe production. Oil and Gas Treatment Plant in Tazhong I Gas Field is located in desert region, where soil resistivity is high and the traditional grounding method cannot achieve the desired effect. Combined grounding of irfpa type grounding device and large building (structure) group has obvious effect and can meet the demands of construction and production operation, which has a certain reference value in arid desert areas.
