    Abstract:

Sino-Myanmar oil and gas pipelines are mostly buried in the mountains and any possible forest fire may result in damage on the pipelines. Establish is an appropriate physical model for actual situation of buried pipelines. Conducted is field investigation to determine parameters of buried pipelines and surrounding soil and amend the building fire heating curve as the forest fire heating curve. Applied is the structured finite volume method to simulate the temperature field of the buried pipelines and surrounding soil. Change regularity of pipeline temperature within a period of time after fire occurring and extinguishing is obtained through FLUENT software simulation, the position of the highest temperature in the pipelines is found and its reason is analyzed. Actual forest fire will spread and the time of fire staying at a fixed area is short. Compared with actual situation, the results obtained from simulation are relatively conservative.
