    Abstract:

Due to the need of expansion, hot work will be conducted in Certain gas pipeline. Applied is software TG-NET to analyze the continuous supply time of gas stored still in the pipeline after shutdown and gas resupply time so as to determine the technical feasibility of shutdown. Proposed are three solutions for hot work: conventional hot work after shutdown, the unilateral plugging hot work with pressure after shutdown and bilateral plugging hot work with pressure without shutdown. Compared are technical and economic factors of the three solutions and the optimal solution has been confirmed: the conventional hot work after shutdown. Actual in-site operation results show that solution NO.1 was completed successfully and the expected results have been achieved.
