    Abstract:

To ensure the successful run-down of the fracturing string with multiple packers, the factors affecting the friction during the run-down of fracturing string should be analyzed in order to provide a new method for the successful run-down of the string. The friction imposed on the string reaches a local maximum when the string runs into the section of the well with greater deviation angle. Consequently, the friction far exceeds the weight of the string and may fail to run the string down. In order to analyze the friction imposed on string with multiple packers, we have established a calculation model for friction analysis taking the factors affecting the rigidity of the string with multiple packers into consideration, based on the mechanical theory of string. We have optimized the number of packers the string should carry and the space between them to ensure the successful run-down of the fracturing string.
