    Abstract：Oil and gas pipeline tunnel under special circumstances need to cross the stratum containing gas. To ensure safety of tunnel during construction and operation of the pipeline at later stage, from the tunnel gas detection, design and construction of support mode, necessary measures shall be taken for comprehensive consideration and safety, environmental, economic and applicable scheme be selected. Combined with oil and gas pipeline gas tunnel engineering examples, the whole process of gas tunnel design and construction have been fully explained from gas detection methods and equipment, appropriate ways of tunnel support to all security requirements in the construction period, which provides the reference and guidance for the future similar projects.
