Abstract:TEG (Triethylene glycol) dehydration is one of the most commonly used techniques for natural gas dehydration. Furthermore, multi-fire-tube heating is used for a reboiler for TEG regeneration. During this regeneration, not only TEG will decompose and deteriorate but also TEG depletion will increase if one regeneration temperature is too high whereas that another temperature is too low may result in an imperfect regeneration or an unqualified gas-water dew-point. So, the heating control is the crux of TEG regeneration. In this paper, the heat-load control is analyzed and then some problems occurring during a heat-controlling process, including flameout caused by temperature overshoot and burner switching, are presented; finally, some measures to optimize heating control are also made for TEG reboiler.
