In recent years, PetroChina has initially explored the modularization construction mode in the construction of large scale oil and gas processing facility projects and achieved remarkable results. However, the overall level and application scale of modular construction still have a certain gap compared with the international advanced level. In order to promote the level of PetroChina modularization construction and management rapidly, it is necessary to study and learn from the advanced international experience and propose suggestions to further carry out the work of modularization construction. The four development stages of modularization construction and the main factors of international oil companies adopting modular construction are summarized. The necessity of promoting modularization construction is discussed, combined with the characteristics of PetroChina surface facility construction. Through the comprehensive analysis and research on the modularization construction, some understandings & suggestions on the modularization construction of PetroChina oil & gas field have been put forward at last.
