    Field Application of Direct Assessment for Pipeline Internal Corrosion

    Abstract:BZ 1-BZ 4 gas gathering line in No.2 Yanqi well area of Yanchang gas field is set as an example and corrosion module provided by OLGA software is used to analyze the risk level, occurrence position and formation reasons of high corrosion under current transportation conditions, gas & water quality. And risk values of different corrosion locations are ranked according to the size of the pipeline, and the integrity of the operation of the gas pipeline is evaluated. The high corrosion risk points of the BZ 1-BZ 4 gas gathering line are mostly at the upslope section of the fluctuating lines, maintaining high risk value in the middle of the upslope section for a long time. The positions of the high corrosion risk points of the BZ 1-BZ 4 gas gathering line consist with the frequency and the position of the gas-liquid two-phase flow parameters, such as high liquid holdup, slug flow state and high wall shear stress. That is to say, when pipeline operating parameters are given, the position and the risk level of the pipeline high corrosion risk point are seriously affected by the gas liquid flow state. The direct evaluation method of corrosion in pipeline can be used to directly detect the corrosion of the pipeline in No.2 Yanqi well area, which can replace the detection technology of intelligent cleaning in wet gas pipeline.
