    The Impact of Solid State Decoupler on the ACVG Detection Accuracy of Pipeline

    Abstract:

    Solid state decouplers are usually used to mitigate AC interference. But it affects the accuracy of ACVG detection and can’t truly reflect the status of outer anti-corrosion coating. In order to improve the detective accuracy, the impacts of solid state decoupler on the ACVG detection accuracy of pipeline in validation were analyzed from the aspects of working principle of solid state decoupler and principle of ACVG detection. Matters need attention are proposed on evaluation integrity of pipeline anti-corrosion coating near solid state decoupler when using ACVG detecting technique. It can improve the accuracy of evaluation results and provide scientific basis for effective maintenance and safety management of pipeline.
