As a new technology in the international non-excavation field in recent years, the direct pipe laying method comprehensively reflects the technical advantages of the conventional pipe jacking and horizontal directional drilling equipment in the past. In 2016, the workmanship and equipment introduced in China have achieved a lot of successes in river-crossing. In late-March 2017, the successful application of the Wudinghe direct pipe laying method in the fourth Shaanxi-Beijing gas transmission pipeline project undoubtedly provided valuable experience for the promotion and application of this technology on large-diameter sandy stratum and other working conditions.
