    Abstract:

In view of the high uncertainty of petroleum project management, diversified objectives and huge risks, it is difficult for traditional management models to conduct comprehensive, scientific and effective management for petroleum engineering projects. Therefore, exploring more advanced petroleum engineering project management ideas and models are increasingly valued by enterprises. To explore the application of the partnership management model in petroleum engineering projects, through elaborating the characteristics, organizational structure and implementation process of the partnership management model, and taking the application of the partnership management model in the project management of an oil and gas company in the west as an example, the adaptability and feasibility of the partnership management model in petroleum project management have been analyzed. It is indicated that the introduction of the partnership management model can effectively avoid the conflicts in project management, strengthen the cooperation relationship between the project participants and make up for the shortcomings of the traditional contract relationship’s model, aiming to provide a scientific basis for the optimal management of engineering projects.
