    Analysis on the Current Status of High Pressure Flexible Pipes in Foreign Oil & Gas Industry

    Abstract:High-pressure flexible pipes are widely used in the oil and gas industry because of their special structure and excellent performance.The design codes and standards and applicable scope of foreign high-pressure flexible pipes are introduced andthe structure and corresponding characteristics of foreign non-bonded flexible pipes have been described as well.Analysis have also been conducted, focusing on key design considerations of various function layers of flexible pipe and associated current status.The main failure modes for the flexible pipe are summarized and analyzed based on its structures.Introduction of main manufacturers and business capabilities of foreign high-pressure flexible pipes have been carried out.The development trend of foreign high-pressure flexible pipes has been proposed.This paper provides reference for the study and application of flexible pipes in domestic oil gas industry.
