    Abstract:

LO-CAT process was used in sulfur recovery unit of an oil and gas treatment station to convert the combined sulfur (H2S) into elemental sulfur by usingFe3+.After operation, the actual acid gas treatment capacity is only about 20% of the design capacity, but the actual chemical consumption accounts for about 60% of the design chemical consumption, resulting in a serious waste of 4 million yuan of chemicals each year.In order to solve the problem of high reagent consumption in sulfur recovery under low load condition, through the study on the principle of LO-CAT process, the derivation of chemical reaction equation and the operation experience of other similar units, it is found that the reason for the above issue lies in the circulation structure and blast. There are big problems in quantity. Therefore, the internal recycling mode of sulfur recovery is reformed through overhaul, and fine control of parameters is carried out to achieve energy saving and consumption reduction.
