Author of the article:Qin Xuan, Song Daishiyu

Key Words:DNV PHAST; Separated distance; Parallel Pipelines
    Abstract:

The methods for determining parallel pipeline spacing are introduced and analyzed in this paper based on domestic standards and Australia standards.TheFull Boremodel is calculated by DNV PHAST and the Puncture Energy Release Rates model is calculated by AS 2885.1 formula. The working conditions for parallel oil & gas pipeline in Australia are simulated. It is concluded that the results based on AS 2885.1 are close to the national standard. But the results based on DNV PHAST for Full Bore model are the worst. It requests more space for parallel pipeline. The maximum of two sets of data are used for parallel spacing of oil & gas pipeline in Australia. The methods can provide reference for similar projects.
