This article starts with the characteristics of refrigerant compressors for liquefied natural gas installations,introduces the particularity of refrigerant compressor drivers, analyzes the main characteristics of gas turbines, steam turbines, and electric motors as refrigerant compressor drivers,as well as domestic and foreign status.The focus is on the factors that affect the output power, such as the environmental conditions and installation conditions that need attention in the selection of gas turbines,and a solution is given.Based on the above analysis, the general principles of driver selection, comparison methods and considerations are proposed, and the advantages and disadvantages of various types of driving methods are analyzed and compared,and the adaptability is compared.Various waysof joint driving are also proposedto address the limitations of a single option.
