Abstract: In shale gas fracturing, the amount of flow-back fluid is large and its content is complex. In this paper, the effects of the ions and cations of the flow-back fluid on the slippery water are investigated, and the result demonstrates that the concentration of calcium cation and chloride ion shall be reduced. After specifically treated, the flow-back fluid is used to prepare slippery water, and the results are reasonable. The technology is used to treat the flow-back fluid and all the fracturing fluid is made up of slippery water in Weiyuan Shale Gas Development Platform,Sichuan Province. The liquid performance is stable, and the average drag reduction rate calculated on site is 78.5 %.
